About Micless
What is Micless?
Most podcasting advice assumes you want to run an interview show: booking guests, coordinating calendars, buying studio gear, and spending your weekends editing hours-long audio.
Micless is a 30-day experiment in doing the opposite. It is a daily, three-minute show about the craft of solo podcasting—how to find original episode ideas, how to write for the ear without sounding stiff, and how to keep publishing when the initial excitement wears off.
Why no microphone?
If you want to share an idea in writing, you open a blank page and type. You don't have to wait for a quiet house, worry about microphone inputs, or start over when you stumble four minutes into a five-minute thought.
Every episode of Micless starts as a written manuscript and is narrated using a Studio Voice clone trained on host David Stack's own voice. No retakes, no background noise, and no late nights editing audio files—just one practical thought a day, written down and spoken out loud.
Who hosts Micless?
Micless is written and hosted by David Stack, a software engineer and indie founder who does his best thinking while writing.
